CORNERSTONE STORIES: Voices of founding residents of Atlantic Terminal Houses is an audio walk that invites you to experience the grounds of New York City Housing Authority's Atlantic Terminal Houses, and the larger neighborhood of Fort Greene, Brooklyn, through the histories and memories of three Cornerstone residents who've lived here since the very beginning in 1976: Thealma Fraser, Marie Livingston, and Jesse Westry. CORNERSTONE STORIES was created and facilitated by Celeste Staton and Ryan Conarro, as 2020 Artists in Residence at the Performance Project at University Settlement. Music for the project was created by Atlantic Terminal resident Johnny Famous. Celeste Staton also narrates the audio walk. The project is supported by the Performance Project at University Settlement; Atlantic Terminal Tenants' Association; and Atlantic Terminal Community Center, in partnership with the Future Historical Society. To listen to a conversation with the lead artists and the community storytellers, visit here - the live interview on the grounds of Atlantic Terminal on the day the audio walk launched, August 26, 2020.
